The Book :
In the midst of WWII and Japan's advance into China, a child finds herself trapped by the chaos of war.
Far from her parents, she must endure a world torn by conflict.
As Japan tightens its grip, she and her siblings are among boarding school children thrust into captivity where survival is never guaranteed.
Becoming a prisoner of war tests her courage and resilience, while building her faith in God.
Audrey Nordmo Horton shares her incredible memoir of life and miraculous deliverance as a Norwegian P.O.W. imprisoned by the Japanese in WWII in China, while commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation.
Since 1955, she has been the faithful wife of Missionary-Pastor Dr. Mahlon Horton.
They were blessed with seven children.
God directed them to live in four different countries while preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and establishing churches.
Serving in ministry together for 60 years of their 70 years of marriage, they have built a lasting legacy of faith, sacrifice, and love.
